WORK PROGRAM OF THE ASSOCIATION OF TAX CONSULTANTS AND ADVISORS The Association of Tax Consultants and Advisors, as voluntary association of citizens of the Republic of Croatia who are providing tax consultancy and advisory services to taxpayers and whose actions are based on the principles of voluntariness, independence, non-profitability and publicity of work, defines its main tasks and adopts:
I. WORK PROGRAM FOR THE YEAR 2004
In accomplishing tasks defined by the Statute, the Association will in the year 2004:
1. Work on the marketing of the Association (through invitations to the Assembly of the Association, organized seminars, internet site etc.) and gathering of all parties interested in the area of tax consultancy and advisory and dedicate special attention to the members,
2. Prepare and hold regular Assembly of the Association,
3. Work on providing resources for the Association’s activities,
4. Prepare codex of ethics of tax consultants and advisors,
5. Organize one day seminar (alternatively two days) on the subject of the certification exam and/or current tax issues,
6. Contact the Ministry of Finance about the certification exam criteria,
7. Connect with International Association of Tax Consultants,
8. Initiate cooperation with other related institutions in Croatia and on the international level and organize meeting with Slovenian Association of Tax Consultants,
9. Perform other necessary activities which contribute to accomplishing the goals defined by the Statute.
II. WORK PROGRAM FOR THE PERIOD 2004 – 2009
In accomplishing tasks defined by the Statute, the Association sets the following priorities for the period of 2004 – 2009:
1. Continued monitoring of harmonization of tax regulations with regulations of the European Union and incentive to resolve differences between regulations through changes and amendments,
2. Initiate harmonization with tax systems of the European Union, through issuing opinions, publishing articles etc.
3. Cooperation with related institutions and associations in Croatia, in the region and on international level, initiation and organization meetings,
4. Organization of annual seminars, counselling, lectures, round tables and other meetings on current subjects,
5. Starting and regular issuing of the magazines and other publications,
6. Presence in public media,
7. Continuing work on the promotion of the Association, insuring the funds for the Association’s work and other activities that contribute to accomplishing goals defined by the Statute. Zagreb, 8 March 2004
